PrayerBoard

A prayer app for you and your closest friends

PrayerBoard is a free iPhone and iPad app for praying with a few close friends: share a prayer request in a private circle, and your friends pray for you with a tap or a short note. You see who prayed, and when God answers, you celebrate together, with no ads and no tracking.

Why not just use the group chat?

The group chat is where people share hard things, and that's good. But a request gets ten "praying" replies and then disappears under photos and plans. Nobody knows who actually prayed, and you rarely hear how it turned out.

PrayerBoard gives those requests a quiet home of their own, so they don't get lost and nobody has to wonder.

How it works

  1. Start a circle for the friends you'd call at 2am. Invite them with a link, a text or right inside Messages.
  2. Share what's on your heart. Write a request, add updates as things change, or keep it private.
  3. Pray for each other. Hold to pray, or leave a short note. Your friend gets a notification like "Sarah prayed for you."
  4. Celebrate answers. Mark a request answered, tell the story, and share it as a card.

What makes it different

  • Small and private. Circles are invite-only. There's no public feed and no way for strangers to find you.
  • You know who prayed. Each request shows who prayed and any notes they left.
  • Free, with no ads. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no tracking.
  • Right where you talk. PrayerBoard in Messages lets you share a request or an invite as a card in your chat.
  • Your own words. PrayerBoard never writes prayers for you.

Who it's for

Close friends, college roommates, a few moms from church, a family spread across time zones, or two friends who promised to pray for each other. If you can picture the faces, it's the right size for a circle.

Questions people ask

What's the best app to pray with friends?

If you want to pray with a few close friends in private, PrayerBoard is built for exactly that, and it's free with no ads. If your friends already read the Bible in YouVersion, its free prayer feature is a good option too.

Can my friends see everything I share?

Only the friends in the circle you share with can see a request. If you'd rather keep the details to yourself, make it private: they'll know you asked for prayer, and only you see the words.

How many friends can be in a circle?

Up to 30 people, though most circles are a handful of friends. You can be in up to 20 circles, like one for family and one for your small group.
