A short morning prayer

Prayer about God's love

A prayer to start the day remembering that nothing can separate you from God's love.

Prayer · 1 min

Nothing can separate

Father, whatever happens today, I want to start by remembering this: nothing can separate me from your love.

Not a bad mood, not a hard diagnosis, not my mistakes, not my doubts.

Not the things I'm afraid of, and not the things I haven't even thought to fear yet.

I pray this same truth over the people I love, especially the ones who feel far from you or unworthy of you. Let them know they are held, and that they always have been.

Help me live like someone who is completely, permanently loved.

Let that steady me today, and let it spill over into how I treat everyone I meet. Amen.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
