For my family
Lord, I want to bring my family to you this morning, the whole complicated, beautiful bunch of us.
You know where we're close and where it's strained. You know the things we don't talk about at dinner.
Bless each one of them today. Keep them safe, and let your face shine on them, even the ones who wouldn't think to ask.
I pray especially for the family member who is struggling right now. Be near them in the way they need most, and give me the right words, or the sense to stay quiet.
Help me be more patient at home than I usually am.
Where there's hurt between us, start the slow work of healing it. I trust you with all of us. Amen.
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
