Prayer for healing

Jesus, you healed people when you walked the earth, and I believe you still care about bodies that hurt.

I bring you the pain I'm feeling, and the pain of people I love. Some of it is physical. Some of it is the kind you can't see.

Heal what you can heal today. Ease what needs easing. Give doctors and nurses wisdom and steady hands.

I pray for the friend who is sick right now and tired of being sick. Give them good news if you can, and real comfort either way. Let them know they're not forgotten.

Where healing is slow, give us patience. Where it doesn't come the way we hoped, give us your nearness.

You are good, and I'm trusting you with all of this. Amen.
