Holding on to hope
God of hope, I need some this morning. Mine has been running low.
It's not that anything terrible happened. It's just been a long stretch, and I'm finding it hard to look forward.
Fill me again. Not with forced positivity, but with a quiet confidence that you're still at work.
I pray for people who have stopped expecting anything good. Maybe someone in my own circle. Give them a reason to smile today, a small sign that tomorrow could be better.
Help me be someone who carries hope into rooms, without being pushy about it.
Let your Spirit stir something alive in me again, and let it overflow to the people around me. Amen.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
