Prayer for courage

Lord, there's something today that scares me a little. Maybe more than a little.

I keep picturing everything that could go wrong. My stomach is in knots just thinking about it.

You told Joshua to be strong and courageous because you would be with him wherever he went. I'm asking you to go with me, too.

Give courage to my friends facing their own hard moments today, a tough conversation, a test, a first day somewhere new. Let them feel braver than they expected.

I don't need to feel fearless. I just need to take the step anyway.

Walk into this with me, and help me remember afterward that you were there the whole time. Amen.
