Prayer before work

Here I am, God, about to start work, and I already feel the pressure building.

There are emails I don't want to answer and meetings I don't want to sit through. Help me show up anyway, with a good attitude.

I commit today's work to you, the big tasks and the boring ones alike. Let it be good work, done honestly.

Bless the people I work with. Some of them are carrying things at home that I know nothing about. Give them patience and rest, and help me be easy to work with.

Keep me from measuring my worth by how productive I am today.

When the day is done, let me close the laptop and actually leave it there. Amen.
