Prayer of the day · Sun, Oct 11 · 1 min

For new beginnings

God, something new is starting in my life, and I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

I don't know how it will turn out. I'm a little afraid of failing, and a little afraid of succeeding too.

You said you have plans for good and not for harm, plans with a future and a hope. I'm holding on to that.

I lift up friends who are starting over too, after a move, a breakup, a loss, or a long season that finally ended. Give them fresh courage and the right people around them.

Help me not drag every old fear into this new chapter.

Let me begin with open hands, trusting that you're the one writing the story. Amen.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
