Afraid but trusting
God, I'm scared about something, and I can't seem to talk myself out of it.
My imagination is very good at writing worst-case endings. Please gently take the pen away.
You told your people not to fear because you were with them, and that you would hold them up with your right hand. I'm reaching for that hand now.
Be near to friends who are frightened today, about their health, their kids, their future, or the world. Steady them. Let your presence be louder than their fear.
When I start to spiral, help me remember one true thing: you are with me.
Fear doesn't get to drive today. You do. Amen.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
