In my weakness
Jesus, I'm not at my best right now. I feel weak in places I wish I were strong.
I'm tired of pretending I've got it all together. You know I don't.
You told Paul your grace was enough, and that your power shows up best in weakness. I'm giving you a lot to work with today.
I pray for friends who feel like failures, who are embarrassed by where they are. Let them feel your grace instead of shame. Show them they're still loved and still useful.
Help me be honest about my limits without being crushed by them.
Let your strength fill the gaps in me today, and let people see you more clearly because of it. Amen.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
